Video Time Lapse

After looking on the internet for more videos for my work i have come across this time lapse video which is exactly the kind of effect i am looking for for my video.

This music video was directed my Michel Gondry. Gondry, born May 8, 1963, is a French film, commercial and music video director and an Academy Award-winning screenwriter. He is noted for his inventive visual style and manipulation of mise en scène.

Video Art Research - Gillian Wearing

Wearing has made pieces that concentrate on groups of people. One, Sixty Minute Silence (1996) is a video of people dressed in police uniforms sitting as if for a group photograph for an hour. Their initial stillness eventually gives way to fidgeting. Her film Drunk (2000) is of four drunk men staggering around a studio.

In 2 into 1, she separately interviewed a mother and her two sons. She then filmed them lip-synching the critical commentary made by the others, forcing participants (and even viewers) to confront the true nature of their relationships:

Fifth Photoshop

This piece was produced using my previous work with the line drawings and then overlapping these on sepeate layers. then behind these, there is the same picture mirrored and filtered infront of a blue background.

Fourth Photoshop

This is when I was experimenting with layers aswell as textured pictures. as you can see there is some gravel texture layered behind the metallic texture of the car at the top of the picture.

Third Photoshop

These are pictures are from photoshop, produced in a pop-art style. i think this is quite effective as the bold colours make the picture stand out. as you can see, i have produced several different pictures from different cars. i have used the dodge a burn tool on the original piece to enhance the shadows and highlights. then by turning the contrast to full, I have made the black and white cars and then filled the background to a different colour.

Second Photoshop

These line drawings were scanned in and edited on photoshop using the burn and dodge tool as well as drawing tools to create these cartoon like cars.
I feel that this effect has worked very well and I would like to continue to develop these pieces

Initial Response

From our discussion on making some media art including a film. I have had some ideas of what to do:
The first idea is to mount a camera into my car and leave it filming my journeys. Then i can speed it up to create a video of flashing images through the windscreen.
The second is to create a stop motion video of my car driving around in a car park or road. This could be effective as it looks like my car is driving as normal, but the other cars and people are moving and jumping around.

First Photoshop

These are some of the first pictures I produced from Photoshop. First I created some simple individual coloured backgrounds to some sections of a car by cutting it and separating the car from the background. Then with the fill tool I made the picture at the top. Then I did the same but used the fade tool to create a bit of depth to the picture.
Then I started to play around with filters and layers. This ended up with me creating the bottom two pictures.

Brief

To further my study in Art and my topic 'Cars', I am producing pieces with on the computer to create digital pieces for development. My topic is researching and producing interesting art pieces within the field of cars in art and design.
